This is for Robin's fun Free for All challenge - Fall Colors (said in my best American accent), which is translated to Autumn Colours in my normal Aussie accent.
This was made by colouring watercolour paper with distress inks and bucket loads of water. Unfortunately it dried about 10 shades lighter than I was hoping for.
Next step was to drip a green reinker at the top of the paper, blast it with a water sprayer (big spray, not mist), then holding the paper upright, let the inky water run down the paper.
I then repeated this process using an orange re-inker, starting about 1/3rd from the top. Finished by dripping red re-inker 2/3rds from the top.
I then punched out a gazillion leaves, folded each leaf in a few places and scrubbed the fold with distress ink using a dauber.
Leaves were then adhered to a cardboard circle. Die cut bird on branch from a left over piece of alfoil adhered to card (and coloured with copic markers).

Susie, now you are going into home decorating!!!!!! This is gorgeous...you sure have your way with paper. It looks like suede leather leaves, with their rich, rich colors. Sure glad I don't have qrs this week!!!!!!!!

GORGEOUS wreath! Can't imagine how long this took with all that leaf cutting, folding and sponging. The bird on the branch is beautiful - I though it was a "Loll" copper technique.

Wow, Susie - you had some patience to create all those leaves in the first place, never mind arrange them into such a perfect looking wreath. The colours in them are amazing! And of course I love your little bird perched on his leafy bough.

Gorgeous wreath for autumn. And I love the bird on the branch - it adds just the right touch. This must have taken a little imagination, since I believe you're in spring heading into summer right now......

Oh, my, gosh, Susie!! This is amazing and what effort you must have put into all these lovely details! But worth it, because you have a masterpiece here. The bird and branch are such a great accent. Faved!!
Oh, and thanks for letting me know that Roberta was inspired by my card - I hadn't seen that!

Oh Susie!!!!! Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful! I'll bet you're still sitting there cutting, dripping, folding, cutting, dripping, folding...because you've done so many and now it's just so automatic you just can't STOP. Such an ambitious undertaking (for which we are all very appreciative!) for someone who is looking Spring in the face. Also LOVE your bow! Absolutely Amazing! Thank you!
