Mary picked a great colors this week. I love this color combo – in fact my Christmas cards last year used snowflakes in this same combination! So, I wanted to do something a bit different here.
I masked off the moon and sponged the sky with Lost Lagoon. For the trees, I stamped the background ones twice without re-inking so one side would be lighter. Then I used Versamark and silver embossing powder to heat emboss the middle stand of trees. I also heat embossed the words. I ripped the tree panel so that the brushed silver panel behind would be more visible. The white panel in back uses the Softly Falling EF. (This card was difficult to photograph and have everything look how it does in person.)
If I can figure out how to sponge the center panel more quickly (or maybe watercolor or airbrush instead) IÂ’d like to use this design for my Christmas cards this year. Perhaps change the color - do some in navy blue, some in forest green, just to change things up. (IÂ’ll probably end up with something totally different! LOL!)

Your fabulous use of the colors for your stands of trees is extraordinary! I love the depth of field that you created with your shading. Beautiful card, thanks for the inspiration!

What a beautiful card, Jeanne, and I love the silver embossing. I got a giggle out of reading your description, especially when you said you'd probably change your mind. Hehe! Cute! Hugs!
