I wanted to make it a bit more colorful than the original, but yet keep the textures. So I grabbed a piece of chipboard and glued a die cut shape to it. Next I wrapped the board with Aluminum Foil from my kitchen. I used a brayer and my stylus to impress the foil around the hidden die cut, then alcohol inks and copic makers to color it. I decided to destress the mat (I was thinking brown paper bag-LOL)! Finally, I choose a clipboard word for the sentiment! It was WAY more fun than I expected!

I really love the way the blue peeks out of this piece!! This was way out of my comfort zone too......and good to try something new!! THX.

Audrie - I like this one even better - so cool how well the die cut shows up and your colors are lovely! The distressed edge is a perfect detail. Faved!
