I have wanted to honor Francie for so long and finally did! This is a direct case of Francie's infamous aspen trees and I pretty much followed her description. I wanted to do this in winter colors but after seeing her vibrant colors, it fell flat. So I went for fun and colorful changing my colors just a bit, changed the matting and added the Joy inlay. I colored the trees like Francie did using warm grays. I bow to you Francie, for doing this! It took forever to get some shading on those trees (grin). I did have fun doing it though and look forward to doing more of these. Thank you for stopping by.
I neglected to include the link to Francie's card. Here it is Plain Old Trees. Nothing about her cards is plain or old!

Did I ever mention that I have green eyes? (I actually really do). So that explains this huge jealous streak that I feel right now. I have been dreading this day. Your card is spectacular!!!! The colors are fantastic and the shading on the trees is amazing. You are just too talented. I am just kidding about being jealous. I love seeing your cards and I am so honored that you CASED this card. It is so beautiful. Right into my favs.

Very "francie" and very "un-Nancy" with these bright pure colors.....but a great looking card to honor her, Nancy. Love the subtle shading on the birches.
