This is for our special friend Kathleen Lammie who is now home after having a double lung transplant. I have heard from her and I know she is doing well..obviously there's a period of recovery. One thing she said a couple of weeks ago that stuck with me was..the oxygen guy was just here picking up all his equipment...can you imagine how that must have felt..what a milestone! This is such a happy, happy reason for a Teaparty...hope you can join in!!
This is a new stamp I picked up at a recent stamp show. I colored her face and hair with copics and then sponged the rest with distress inks. I then added more highlights with colored pencils and a white gel pen. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella for fun. The word celebrate was part of the MME paper and I designed my card so you could read that. Oh and the balloons are from a stamp set that Lisa sent me on the first tickle I participated in. Thank you Shoe Girl ;)

Polly this is one awesome stamp. One can't help smile and feel better when you look at her huge grin! I knew Kathleen was doing well and was soon to come home, but I did not know about the oxygen guy. You are right in saying, this has to be one of the greatest feelings in the world. My DD is a surgical nurse and was in on many transplants including lungs. She said it is so amazing and heartwarming to see people be able to "live" again. And to see the connection between the donor's family and the recipient. It is a VERY special bond. Needless to say, Kathleen will LOVE this card and her smile will be as big as the girl in the card!!!!! Thanks Polly for the update on Kathleen.

Yes, what a blessing to have the oxygen supplies picked up -- and needed no longer! Praise God! Kathleen and her DH will love this beautiful card! Hugs!
