What a beautiful site for this week's challenge, Stacy! Every pin was gorgeous, but I loved this one in particular and chose it for my inspiration: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/567172146797976930/. I first sponged the shaft of light, then spritzed it with water and rubbed lightly to even out the sponging. Then I masked it, brayered the rest of the panel, die cut it, added a white mat and adhered to a black base. Added the dove, the sentiment and sequins.
Dies: SB/Basic Rectangles, PTI/One Liners. It wasn't difficult, but it took forever to get a good coverage of the brayered black.
Edit - It just dawned on me that I could have saved myself a lot of time and effort if I'd sponged white ink on black paper!

I agree with Stacy on two counts - I also often do things the hard way, and the black background looks amazing!

So................I saw the inspiration pin and was drawn to it immediately! I looked at it a long while wondering how I could recreate it. We are still on spring break so I didn't end up having time to play but then I saw this and I thought to myself, "That's how to recreate the pin"!!! Amazing! I am in awe! This is stunning!
