Fun challenge, although I'll admit, I don't usually like to case myself so this is more a technique inspiration. I was inspired by THIS card. I kept the layout the same, made a water color background but instead of using bleach, I used white & metallic gold acrylic paint & the heat embossing is confined to the greeting.
I wanted to splatter some masking fluid on the bg first, but found mine had totally dried up. So I watered down a little white acrylic paint & splattered it first & after it dried I did several water color washes using different shades of blue. After drying it w/ my heat gun, I splattered a little more white & a little gold on top & used a small paint brush to add some swaths of gold here & there. I like how some of the white splatters are fainter & some brighter, because of doing the splatters before & after the water color.
I used a metallic brushed gold card stock to die cut the frame & also the stars. The greeting was heat embossed & die cut in a circle to add on top of the large star.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

I think you made a MAGNIFICENT card! I love everything about it (You most definitely don't have to case yourself, just find inspiration in something you did earlier as you've done in this beauty!)

Oh, Julie, this is gorgeous! I love the sky and the stars - such amazing color! And I especially love this sentiment, because my dad had a beautiful baritone voice and would sing "How Great Thou Art" many years ago!! Thanks for the memory! Hugs!
