I used my computer to merge an old digital image from Daydream Designs and a grid. I printed it on white cardstock. Then I colored it with my very expensive markers... not. I used cheap crayola markers. But I didn't color directly. I scribbled the markers on a piece of acetate and added water to the scribbles to paint the squares. I love how it looks but it was very time consuming. It took me probably 1 1/2 hours to finish painting. When I was done I needed something more to make it MIXED media. So I took a gold marker and outlined the stained glass panel.I also added gold marker to the centers of the flowers. But it still needed more. So I used gold shimmer spray. I didn't want a lot of it so I sprayed it in the air and ran the panel into the spray rather than direct spraying to the paper. I did the same thing to the black panel and heat embossed the sentiment. I don't remember the last time I made such a time consuming flat card.

WOW, this card was worth every minute, in my opinion! I hope you send it to someone who will appreciate all your hard work, LOL! It turned out just beautiful. The gold was the perfect accent to all the blues and purples.
