but that's as far as I got. So today when I saw the CAS313 I was totally excited to be able to put the two together, because Flowers are Spring to me.
When I was very young we lived next to a woods in northern WI. By the time it was April, I was always in the woods digging in the snow looking for what we called Mayflowers. I went every day looking until they bloomed and then brought a fistfull down to Mom.
I still love flowers that much and have a box of these that I embroider to use as embellishments. I may have to replenish. I glued them on and then sewed around the edges to make sure they stay.
I added the piercing with the sewing machine as I can get it straighter that way. Doesn't look as cool as my inspiration, but sure was fun to make and gives hope that Spring IS actually coming this year.

I'm seeing a number of stitched flowers on cards....it makes for one beautiful card. Love your flowers and the frayed edges. I remember my Dad bringing my Mom a bouquet of ***** willows, and then we knew spring was really coming. Fav'd tfs

This takes me back to when I was about 10 years old. My friend next door and I would sit out in our backyard with our embroidery on a beautiful summer day and work on our individual projects. It took me the whole summer to embroider some lambs in a field of flowers around the edge of a pillowcase for my bed. When I finally finished it and actually slept on it I decided to never embroider again. When I woke up my face was full of tiny little round marks...they were from all the big fat French Knots I made on the little lambs and in the centers of the flowers. After seeing this I just might pick up a needle again. It's beautiful. And I don't have to sleep on the card if I don't want to....I'm an adult now. LOL

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock

Oh, this is fabulous! I used to embroider all the time when I was a young girl, but I couldn't find a hoop so I had to settle for doing something else. I love your wonderful card!
