This is for the WT517 to use stuff from the kitchen, and the MIX106 to use bright colors on a love themed card. When I saw the word "cook" on Sabrina's fun WT517 challenge, I panicked. I have mentioned this favorite quote of mine before - "the only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house". My sons and dh were soooo excited when they say me looking around the kitchen... visions of home baked goodies danced in their heads. What a let down when they figured out what I was really doing. I did a little adjustment to the shaving cream bkg technique. Sometimes I have a little mental lapse and actually believe that fat free foods can taste like the real thing. That is why I had a large can of fat free whip cream in the refridgerator. I covered a large piece of aluminum foil with whip cream, dropped food coloring drops onto it, swirled the colors with a fork and smooshed my card stock into it. Let it absorb for a few minutes , then scrape off the whip cream with a butter knife. WHAT A HUGE, FLUFFY MESS!!! You can make a lot of bkgs for your stash and you feel like you are back in kindergarten. Using copics and prisma pencils, I colored the image in similar colors. I like to keep "I love you" cards on hand to leave for my dh if he is stressed or having a bad day, so this was perfect to add the "love" die cut for the MIX106 challenge. Well, I might have to stop at the bakery to get some goodies for my family since they can't eat this card. TFL, Francie

Wow, you got really creative with whipped cream and food colouring. I wondered why the results were so bright. Using alcohol inks aren't as bright. Love how you coloured your image. I love dragoflies.

Oh Francie, this one FLEW into my Favs - LOVE those brilliant, cheerful colors (and of course how you made them - hey, food coloring and whipped cream - doesn't that make it still edible?? )
This technique is a lot of fun, though I never did it with whipped cream, I might decide to try your fun ingredient! How sweet that you added the "love" for your DH's bad days_ what an adorable idea!!

Wow! This gorgeous and the colours are so powerful. Absolutely spectacular! Can't believe it is whipped cream..fat free no less..didn't know they made it like that! LOL I can certainly identify with your favourite quote! Mine is 'My favourite thing to make for dinner is reservations'! We both think alike.

So great to read how you created your lovely swirly background. It is the perfect background for your beautifully coloured image and the colours are just so lovely and bright. What a wonderful thing to do with "fat free" whipped cream. Still giggling over that. he he
