While taking a walk this morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the woodpecker and then his red head. I decided to use him for yesterday's color challenge and today's sketch. Those birds really brightened my morning. I look forward to spring with the return of more birds and the blooming of flowers. Thanks for looking!! :>)

Kim, I love this woodpecker. I used to have several kinds outside my kitchen window, including this one, until we had to cut down the tree. I always kept suet in it for the birds and the woodpeckers loved it. So glad you shared this beauty.

It's so nice to hear you talk this way, Kim. It's amazing the beauty that is all around us if would only take the time to listen and look for it. : ) Small things excite me, like tiny flowers growing amongst the grass blades.....Beautiful card with the perfect sentiment stating exactly how you feel~ Hugs~

Such a beautiful card, Kim. The photo is perfect with this weeks colors. The sentiment is just perfect. About 3 times a year a woodpecker shows up in my yard... you would think the Pope came to visit by my excitement.
