Sabrina asked us to stamp in white onto white paper & then color. I knew there was a bit of detail in the stamp, but I really thought it would be like a resist - NOT! I tried gently rubbing after coloring with SU pastels & make-up brushes. The color did not come off the embossing. I used a 'stiff' eyebrow color brush & a lipsitck brush to color with Garden Green, Barely Banana, & Cameo Coral. Since the white embossing didn't show up as white, I didn't like the white background so added some Bliss Blue with a softer brow brush. I don't wear make-up but I love using these brushes for chalks. I used the stippling technique to add more color for the shading. Even if this isn't quite the effect I wanted, I like how it came out.
Thanks Sabrina for this challenge and...
thanks for stopping by.

This is beautiful, even if it wasn't what you were expecting! Hmm, I wonder why the embossing didn't act as a resist - maybe if you'd used a barely damp wipe some of the colour would have come off, but then you'd have dulled your colour too. Best as it is, which is lovely and gives a real painted effect with your great shading.
