This is my card for Sabrina's Ways to Use it challenge today. I tore my swirly layer on an angle and then burnt it with a lighter, precisely at which time DH walked by my craft room....shaking his head....lol!!

What a beautiful card! I love the soft colors! What a great idea to tear your embossed layer, AND burn the edge!!!! LOL...I can just imagine your hubby wondering what the heck you are doing with a lighter! Heehee!!!! Too funny!

Next thing you know we will have to take out Stamper's insurance to try out these new techniques! I am glad you safely completed your card because it is a beauty! Looks like the butterfly got into a little of the smoke smudges too. I like the tint on the wings!

Ha...hubby will just have to stay out of the craft room. He may see several frightening things going on in there. :-) I love the torn design and the card is gorgeous.

lol....sounds a lot like me, except because of previous tries...lol...I did mine over the sink...lol. Love how you did just lightly, gives it neat shading on the pretty swirls...TFS..:0)
