Dolly the insomniac dog and I have been doing the happy dance all night. My "sharpie marker blending solution stamped tile" actually worked". Usually when something is supposed to be quick and easy, the only quick part is how rapidly I realize that things aren't going well, and the easy part is throwing it away. Pinky swear...this is so QUICK AND EASY and it requires no artistic ability. The white ceramic tiles come in many sizes and are sold at Home Depot for under $2. I happened to find this lonely tile lurking on DH's work bench...it was just waiting for me to paint it. Scribble solid areas of color (touching but not over lapping) covering the entire tile. Warning to perfectionists...do not spend more than 3 minutes doing this since it is all going to bleed and run together. Drop big globs of blending solution over the entire surface. Here is the most difficult step...leave it alone to COMPLETELY DRY. Luckily, I had to go to work, otherwise I probably would not have waited long enough and I would have ruined it. When it is dry, use a black sharpie marker to doodle a boarder (optional). Using black stayzon ink, stamp your image. I stamped the wildflowers 3 times. It takes A LONG TIME for ink to dry on tile. I am probably the only one who notices this next part, so you can omit it...I outlined some of the flowers with white gel pen. I have a slight gel pen addiction and couldn't resist. Finally, glue a rafia bow on. The actual crafting time is less than 15 minutes and the cost is almost nothing. If you made them in more of a production line fashion, you could make several in one day. They would be perfect party favors for a bridal or baby shower. You could use the colors of the party with an appropriatly themed stamp. TFL, Francie
