This week's CAS Challenge is to make a card inspired by the amazing gallery of Brenda (Tessaduck) a CAS Alumni and the Technique Challenge is to try some stamp etching. Brenda's card I chose to CASE -
I was inspired by Brenda's fussy cut flower over a stencilled bg. I lightly stencilled in smoky slate ink. Stamped, etched, coloured flowers with copics and sprayed with glimmer mist. Fussy cut and adhered, using dimensionals, over the stencilling. Backed onto eggplant c/s and adhered to white card which I had scored.
I would say my stamp etching is subtle and I added all the rhinestones, for the sparkle, seeing as this is the 500th technique challenge - that is a lot!!
Enjoy all the beautiful cards in your honour, Brenda!

Wow, Sue, what a beauty this is! Your card looks 3-Dimensional! Everything you did looks wonderful, so much depth with the cut popped flowers, scoring & the rhinestones add the elegance!

I love your etching work and the overall treatment of the card is just my style: clean and crisp with lots of white space. The eggplant mats really accent the design - I like how you treated the sentiment like a plaque on a work of art, which is exactly what this is!

Sue, your flowers are colored so beautifully and the etching enhances the shading in the center! What gorgeous colors and I love the way your mats create such a beautiful contrast!
