For Dina's MIX84 Left is Right challenge. When I was commenting on the cards for the WT challenge I was reminded of this stamp which I might possibly never have inked up, so I went in a totally different direction from plan A.
Stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured the leaves with distress inks. Masked off the centre, spritzed the paper with water, and since I didn't check the tutorial for Dina's sanded pencil background, it was only after I started shaving sprinkles with my knife that I remembered she had used a sanding block. Still - it gave me a similar effect and an extra medium so I am well mixed ;-).
For the base I used DTP with tea dye, vintage photo and weathered wood on kraft. Then I doodled my white lines. Jeepers, do you know how hard it is to use a white gel pen in the wrong hand!! And to work out what angle your hand should be to the paper! Then I embossed it and sponged the edges with walnut stain. The leaf was cut from a scrap of background some time ago, I added it to go with the autumn leaf theme and to get rid of it. If I tell the truth - it wasn't even in my scrap box, it was on the floor. Image panel popped up on foam dots.
