This week our featured stamper is Karren and she has a fabulous gallery. I had lots of choices for inspiration, but I picked this one: Serene Moonlight by karrenj at Splitcoaststampers
I love doing this kind of ink blending and creating a silhouetted scene. I chose different stamps, created more of a landscape scene, and different colors. Thanks for the inspiration, Karren! I may be visiting your gallery again!
First I masked the vertical strip of cs, then blended inks using torn post-its to create a mask for some different "tiers". Then I stamped the branch, birds and smaller trees (needed the stamp-a-ma-jig to place this one correctly). After removing the masks I stamped the large tree. I felt it needed some grounding, so using post-its again, I created the ground in front. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and crossed my fingers that I would get it straight!! OMG, this turned out gorgeous. I love making these types of cards, but you really added your own style to this. I love the big tree in the foreground and how you placed it half on the white and half on the colored panel. Great color choices. Just lovely.

Oh my gosh!! This is an amazing card. I like everything about it. I love the reverse masked horizontal panel with the soft, colorful hills. Then, you throw in the tree and branch w birds. Love it all.
