This was a pleasant way to wind down my day. Today Dawn asked what is the Thing we do other than card making/scrapping/paper crafting. Truth be told, card making is my favorite thing to do. But before I was introduced to stamping, I did counted cross stitch. I loved taking that blank fabric & seeing a picture evolve. It's a hobby that doesn't take well to aging eyes!!! And I've always loved to read.
I chose this sweet image from the Believe in You set from There She Goes. I mainly use it for back to school, but she works very well here. I colored her with Spectrum alcohol markers, thanking Dawn Lusk the whole time I was coloring. And if you saw the picture Dawn posted on her blog or FB, you know I look nothing like this!!!!
To show my cross stitch passion, I used Aida cloth & DMC floss for my back panel. I only back stitched & then frayed the edges. I thought the Joy from SS was the perfect sentiment to convey what my hobbies mean to me.
I hope to get a few more cards done tomorrow as I'm leaving for summer camp on Sunday. I will be gone 4 weeks, but home on the weekends. This will be my last year to be the camp nurse. So if you don't see anymore from me, that's why.
As always, thanks for stopping by.

What an adorable card! I know what you mean about the XS being hard on aging eyes. I have tons of aida cloth - need to pull it out for some cards - I love what you've done here. Have a great summer - hope you'll be back with us in the fall!
