This is my first attempt at gold leafing. Oy, what a mess. I used embossing paste in a Dreamweavers stencil and it oozed near the base of the leaf leaving a huge, fat stem. After that dried, I put the cleaned stencil back on and used a Pallette glue pad to add the glue. The glue was heated until sticky. Now comes the fun part- the leafing. Thankfully a friend who knows how to do this was here. The leafing was tapped onto the glue. Now the stem was even fatter. Rather than start all over I fussy cut it out and put it on a leftover gelli print. I know I will want to try this again for sure but may go back to Crafter's workshop stencils that don't get bent.
Thanks for looking.

Wow, it doesn't get more gorgeous than this card. I love gold-leafing AND stenciling with embossing paste, but never thought to combine them on one card. You've done a magnificent job of that. And your perfect background puts this card way over the top and wins you the Olympic Gold. You've enabled me to invest in Gelli Plates, thank you very much.
