TodayÂ’s Color Challenge uses some very pretty colorsÂ…pink, pistachio & vanilla. The dessert option was a little toughÂ…NO STAMPING! That was a little tough for me. I did manage the dessert. by relying on die cuts & punches to see me through.
For the vanilla panel, I used only the first half of a Memory Box die. I positioned it on the top of my vanilla panel, taped it place, then let the “holidays” part hang off of the cutting plate. I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it did! The birthday die is a little Sizzix sizzlet & I only used the birthday part instead of the whole “happy birthday”. The flowers, flower border & branches were all done with punches. I sponged a little darker pink ink on the petal edges & added some tiny black dots on the border flowers and tiny flowers. The big green leaves are from a poinsettia die. I used a dk pink Copic to color my rhinestone brad to match.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff
