I'm combining challenges here ~ Linda's March Madness WT challenge to make a TALL card , and Joanne's challenge to the CCEE Stampers.
Joanne's challenge for the last Thursday in March was a recipe: Flowers + Pearls + Heat Embossing + Dry Embossing + Person Image.
Flowers - I started out with just the daisy border, but because my dry-embossed pieces needed something, I ended up adding some Primas.
My primary heat embossing is the Harlequin, but there's also some gold and Aged Teal on the Faux Patina panels.
I made my two embossed panels to start with, 2" high, and the width of the card base. I used embossing and sponging - weathered wood, faded jeans, wild honey, peeled paint. The Faux Patina one was then finished off with some embossing powders. The diamond panel, I stamped it with a music backgrounder so all the little diamonds have music on them. I cut each strip diagonally, added gold to the edges with a leafing pen and stuck them to my base card.
I stamped and embossed my Harlequin, then masked off the centre and stamped the Daisy Pattern down each side, scoring along the inside edge. The side panels are sponged with Peeled Paint, and the daisies filled in with a white gel pen, pearls and Liquid Pearls for the leaves. I scored along the inside edge. I sponged through a stencil to add some more diamonds behind my harlequin.
The top embossing looked very flat when compared with the daisy panels at the side, so I added detailing with a fine black pen. Added a sentiment at the bottom, and a few little Primas to finish it off.
Since cards with a general music theme fit the Central Theme for this month's Fan Club, I'm tagging this card for that as well. And just think how Maria used music to express things!!

I LOVE that sentiment....so very true....music can soothe the soul, excite the spirit, and escape reality.....the Harlequin was a fab character for this creation....fabulous, as always, Sabrina

I am in awe with how you balanced all of the patterns and textures in the collage pieces to frame your harlequin figure. He appears of be performing on a stage, with the curtains drawn to the side. Very artistic and creative! TFS
