This card is for today's TLC and yesterday's Featured Stamper Challenge. Today we were to emboss on Vellum. My banner has a printed vellum overlay that I glued to a piece of cardstock with vellum adhesive. I heat embossed the greeting onto it. I loved Jenn's happy colors in her gallery and wanted to do another card to incorporate that element. I thought this card was adorable:
and used it for my inspiration. I had forgotten that I had this dog in a Valentine's set but was thumbing through an old catalog tonight and saw that image and it was just perfect except that the dog has a heart in front of his paws. So I omitted the heart when I inked the stamp up and I drew in his legs instead. I colored him with Copic markers. I used several different sets to come up with the elements I needed and then added buttons and a ribbon to match my background paper. There is a touch of glitter on the hat, cupcake and candle as this is a birthday card afterall!

Aw - what a cute card, Kathy. With the stripes and colour palette it will work as a guy card, too. Love the sparkle on your cake, and I thought you'd dry-embossed the vellum, not that it was printed.
