Today's t-party is going all the way to New York. Well maybe for lots of you it may not be ...all the way...;0).
We are tickling each other this week, sending a card to each other....come and join us in our adventure.
It is all about New York, and what you think about when you think of that pretty city. I always think first of the statue of liberty, and how glorious and big it must be in real life and I also think of Central Park. You here of people walking there , or sitting on a park bench feeding the little birds, and that is where I am taking you today.
I looked up Central Park to see what it actually looks like and you should take a peek in its website. They have a virtual tour, taking you along the whole pathway, showing you statues of liek alice in wonderland, Hans Christian Anderson's ugly duckling, fountains, and one place that reminds me of here...Cherry Hill, as in the springtime the trees there all bloom. We have orchards here in the valley and it IS gorgeous in the springtime, so I am taking you to Central Park and left a park bench open for you to have a sit and ponder at God's Beauty there. I even invited a couple friends to join you...there is a bit of food there for them, but you might want to bring more...:0).
I sponged the bg sky and then the 2 trees, with the base and then used the flower baby blossoms for the cherry blooms. Used I think alittle flower part for the grass and rubbed a old dryish black ink pad just dragged it along the bottom for the pathway and added the extra grass, stamped the couple little birdies, and then cut tiny little strips of black paper and glued them together to make apark bench. the legs are a bit funny, but I don't think you'll fall off if you sit on it. Decided instead of making a full border I added liek little picture edges by cutting a little square die-cut in half to the corners so it looks like its a picture in a photo album.... so whomever I tickle...this sanctuary is....." FOR YOU "
...Thanks for the visit...:0)...HUGS

Wendy, this is a beautiful "photo" of Central Park and certainly makes me want to be there, sitting on your wonderfully handmade bench, taking in the surrounds. The recipient of this "tickle" will treasure this card!!

You created the bench yourself!! Way cool. I've seen dies, but I know I'd never use one enough to justify the expense, but if I could make one like this I'd be happy. I really enjoyed your write-up, too. I thought about Central Park, (just watched Barefoot in the Park recently), but my imagination didn't take me there, unlike your wonderful spring scene.
