yeah, I did it! And thank you Lydia for the gentle push...not over the edge, but uPWARD! The video helped immensely.
Hope you can see THE mountain and the long approach. My art was definitely a happy serendipity. I probably had a heavier hand and more paint on the brayer than Lydia showed in her video...but I am so jazzed by what appeared on the paper before me...I followed her directions, this is what I got!
And while I listed Stampscapes as my stamp...it is the John Muir quote that is the only stamp I used. I inked it on SU's soft sky, embossed with clear ep and then cut it for steps up the mountain. I added German scrap in brown foil at the bottom edge of the panel to signify the Three Sisters Mountains which are just a few hours from my home. I have climbed two of sissies and hope to scale their heights again soon. They stand over 10,000 ft.
Thanks for taking a look at my MIXed entry today...I appreciate your time and your comments...I will be keeping this card as a reminder of reaching for new heights, both in the art world and beyond....

great job susan! i love how you engaged the viewer to "hike" up hill and take a journey. everything works together on this card - great job!! new beauty, indeed
