I am SO Excited at how beautiful my birthday card for my DH Denny turned out! He loved it too :-) Thanks to a gift of 2 sheets of the heated copper from Loll a while ago I have had this card in my head for just Denny. I loved being able to add the new SU Watercolor Wonder DSP for the background...yep, DSP NOT watercolored by me!
I die cut the leaf and then added the veins using my foam Stampin Pierce Mat and Stylus and attached to the framed DSP with foam Dimensional Tape. Worked great. Added a sweet little tag using CS and more of the Watercolor Wonder DSP and twine. That was it, but boy is it stunning when the light hits the gorgeous burnt copper.
Thanks again Loll for being such a generous, inspiring and treasured friend.
I used warm colors so this card is perfect for the Mix52 Warm Colors and WT155 Warm Colors Challenges.
Enjoy and thanks girls for making Denny's 71st birthday very special :-)

This is art, not a card! It is breathtakingly gorgeous. I'm glad you decided to "hoard" the burnt copper foil for Denny. You did a wonderful job of making it all come together as a January birthday card, without it looking like an autumn card. Wonderful!

Gorgeous leaf! The fired metal is breathtaking in the photo and can only image how pretty it is IRL. Also like the CAS design of the card...the hanging string tie on the tag adds a fun soft detail to the design. Nicely done! Congrats on being a CAS Fav of the week.
