It is time to tickle a teapotter, which is probably a good thing as this is a bit weird to send to a total strange - even by my standards. I have just looked in the gallery and it appears I may have misunderstood the brief a bit this week.
I thought we were coming to the party in disguise. So I did just that...I disguised Hazy as Albert and Albert as Hazy by surgically swapping their heads.
You may remember Hazy and Lazy from a previous tickle (they live at Gabby's house now), well Hazy likes to dress up for Halloween, so she and her little friend Albert decide to swap heads. If you look carefully you can see where I lopped their heads off and added a bit of red copic marker and dimensional magic to look like blood. Their little outfits are paper-pieced and given a festive shimmer by adding Zig Wink of Stella Brush markers.
I had trouble securing Hazy and the swing to the tree (I say Hazy, meaning her body and Alberts head). I digress, in order to secure the swing to the tree I attached it all to a piece of acetate. I then added liquid pearls to the tree. I decided to give my heat gun a second chance and quickly dry the liquid pearls.....big mistake...the acetate started to melt. I quickly rescued Hazy from the smouldering tree and started again. The smell of burnt plastic is still lingering in the air....the burns on my fingers aren't too bad.
Back to the card. Alberts older brother Frank, has dressed up as Dracular. He is helping Hazy and Albert scare the pants off people walking by.
I should have said earlier that Hazy, Albert and Frank all started out life as Sassy Cheryl digi stamps and they are presented here on a stair step fold card. This size fits into a DL business letter envelope.
When I finished the card, I felt it needed something to soften it. I tried little flowers but that didn't seem to work, that is when I decided to add big blobs of liquid pearls to look like spider eggs!!! Genius hey.
We don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia, so I hope you will forgive me for going a bit overboard this week. I had heaps of fun!!
Have a wonderful week everyone and thank you for looking.

You just made my day! Not only because I would not want to miss your extraordinary cards but you can really write a tale! Oh my gosh I almost fell out of my chair laughing!
I can't get over that you alter your characters! The embellishments are mind boggling. How you come up with this is just something I can't wrap my brain around. I always go back and look at your card no less than three times! This is incredible and lucky the person who receives it!

What an incredible Halloween card you have created here, Susie!! As you said, it's not a big thing here in Australia but I do always have lollies on hand in case some children come knocking at the door (usually my neighbour's)!! Back to your somewhat gruesome card - I chose not to look at the spider too closely seeing I have such a fear of them, but, once again, your creativity and thought for detail shines through!!

Bloody cute Halloween party card, Susie! Heehee! Swapping heads, bloody necks, spider and web, a vampire, big blob spider eggs, Halloween birds ... some serious scary fun going on there! Your card is so FUN and FESTIVE that it looks looks you three could have a party yourselves! LOVE it! Glad you didn't burn down the tree! Heehee! I read that Halloween is catching on in some parts of AU. It is my fav holiday and great fun so I hope it does in your area.

Those children look DEMONIC and I'd be terrified if they turned up on my doorstep. This is super cute Susie and I hope it comes my way. This will be the first Halloween with no kids at the door as we now live in a gated community and they can't get in. I laughed at your story of burning things. A couple of years ago I read online about die cutting chiffon to make flowers and then singe the edges to stop them fraying. The thing lit up in a second and then in flames soared up in the air. Luckily it didn't start a fire and I now singe the edges with a heat gun not a candle.

It's fun and fabulous and nobody is ever going to be disappointed to receive one of your cards, Susie.
Eek, I'm sorry you burnt your fingers along the way. I have some laser acetates which I use if I think I'm going to need heat - but they wouldn't be stiff enough, I don't think, for your purposes. But in my experience, trying to speed up Liquid Pearl drying time is always a mistake, LOL. I'm glad you had fun in spite of the setbacks.
And oh - I had a little paper surgery on my card too, LOL. I accidentally coloured Harlequin's hand on the flute red when I painted his ruff. And since I wasn't going to sacrifice my only remaining image, I just had to draw a little hand and paint it pink and stick it over the red. Shhhhhhh.
