There is so much that needs to be said about Susie because she is so divinely sweet she leaves such kind and thoughtful comments for everyone. Susie is also a very gifted creator of gorgeous paper crafts. CAS, 3D and all sorts of cards! I love her work.
I was inspired by SusieÂ’s Fall Colors card
and wanted to create what I see happening in my own yard. There is a white dustiness on the leaves and the colors are changing fast and furious here in New England.
I stamped the three leaves and heat embossed in pearlescent ivory embossing powder. I sponged with DI wild honey, spiced marmalade, peeled paint, fired brick and walnut stain. The branch is from THÂ’s tattered holly and berries die.
Thank you Susie for all your inspiring work and thank you all for viewing!

When I saw this card, Angela, it took me back to Winter Harbor, Maine. Having lived in the northeastern part of the state, AND in the National Park for a total of 7 years (on/off) with our tours I can say with all my heart that you captured the beauty of fall with this stunning card. How I loved that time.
Now for this beauty. Beautiful embossing choice for the background. Dimension, texture, and it sets the stage for those gorgeous fall leaves. The heat embossing is beautiful on them. May I tell you a short story. When we lived in Winter Harbor, I taught pre-school at the Navy Base on Schoodic Point. The little ones loved the fall as much as I did. One day we all decided that it must have the "Frost Fairies" who painted the leaves with such beautiful colors. *giggle* Do you know I still hear from a number of those children (they're all grown up with children of their own now). Yep, how special is that? Thank you so much Angela for playing in the challenge and sharing this beautiful card. I've loved your cards forever and now I feel so honored that you've created one for QFTD180 - me

Oh my goodness, Angela, your leaves are gorgeous! LOVE how you have the different colors on each leaf and then the white embossing on top! What a beautiful technique!!! Fantastic card to honor Susie too!
