This week our cards are headed north to Wisconsin, and a young man of 8 by the name of Tyler. Tyler just had heart surgery to repair leaky valves, so he's in need of some cheering.
Our teapot is a frog, thus all the frogs this week. The pattern for this frog was found via Google, with pop up frog as key words.
I had seen this frog done at the fair this summer, so I thought it would be perfect for Tyler. Hopefully it isn't too juvenile. Since this was fun to make, I think it will be a good project for the DGS, some rainy day later this year.
Hopefully Tyler will have fun when all these fantastic cards start arriving.

Too juvenile! I don't think so, I'm betting Tyler will just love this. I can figure out the mouth pop-up part because I'm sure it's on one of our (many!!) origami books, but the tongue (and the fly) is a fantastic addition. I like the gingham frog too .

As if the front weren't great enough - Tyler will be tickled with a frog that isn't just plain green - I snuck ahead to see the inside and you blew me away!! What a great card - an 8 yr old boy will be smiling big to see this pop up frog, who already caught a big fat juicy fly!! What a super idea!!
