Inspired by the lace on this Lily Pulitzers dress:http://www.lillypulitzer.com/product...aisy+Lane+Lace
ItÂ’s fun & easy to make several backgrounds with stencils in a short time. Here I used plain white mat card, though you can use gloss too. Roll lemonade distress stain over the cardstock, spritz panel with water, use a sponge to rub over the card. Add more lemonade stain & also a few splotches of Pickled Raspberry, sponge it in. Lay stencil over the card, even while it is still damp, (tack some tape in place to keep everything secure if needed).
Dab the Pickled Raspberry ink stain & a dob of Seedless preserves on an acrylic block, spritz with water & working from these, stipple the stains over the stencil.
For a muted effect, be quick& spare. For a stronger printed design, keep stippling thoroughly. NB: No two backgrounds will be the same, as you see from the other examples I made.
When dry, stamp the greeting, wild flowers silhouette & dragonfly with black archival ink.
