For Birgit's challenge to use acrylic paints and a credit card - and I combined it with Jeanne's F4A challenge to use a large embellishment or stamp. Well, I used a dryer flower already this week, and one large embellishment has challenged me enough, so I went the stamp route with SU's Medallion.
Before work I nipped upstairs and used an expired European Health Insurance card to add pink acrylic to a piece of white card, and then to swipe some white acrylic on over a piece of drywall mesh. I used the edge of the card to add the green lines.
When I came home from work it was nice and dry so I stamped Medallion in black. I tried Brilliance first, but it came out very faint and hardly any of the EP stuck, so I brushed it all off and stamped again with Versafine, reckoning that since it was a pretty distressed card already, a faint black grey shadow wouldn't matter much. And indeed the EP only stuck to the fresh stamping. I tore it to shape and distressed the edges a bit more, and then added a HA sentiment. I had a hot pink paper flower with white edges which made a perfect addition to the centre of the medallion, and I added two green brads layered with rhinestones.
A quick card, though I think to do it justice mixed media needs more time than I have these days. Mixed media lite, as opposed to mixed media extreme, is about all I can manage at the moment.

This is awesome. Love, love, love that medallion. So bold in black against that amazing background. I am really enjoying all the creations utilizing drywall tape. Adds so much interest and texture. This is one for my faves.
