For the inspiration this week the site is Godiva chocolates and what inspired me while viewing for inspiration was this page, notice the second row of bags are in colors of red, yellow and orange, now hover over the item and a blue quick look box appears at the bottom and who knew a person who canÂ’t sleep could get inspired enough over that to create a card full of colors! Well, it works for me!
This card is so very simple and quick to create, rub Gelatos onto watercolor paper then cover one finger with a wet wipe and rub it across the colors to blend them, apply more where needed and I applied red to brighten areas after the wet wipe blending and enough moisture was present for it to blend well with just my finger. Then add your image and this one is a digital image so that was even quicker.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the 1/16” and 1/8” borders borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. I used to struggle with borders on the regular cutters but these rulers cut my border time in more than half.
The free image comes as one piece and I cropped and split it into two and used the sentiment on the insert with some Gelato colors underneath and added on some circles with the StamperÂ’s Big Brush Pen
from Faber-Castell. If you care to see how I decorated the inside you can find it on my blog through this direct to post link.
3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives was used to pop up the panel.

Bright, colorful and an a great scene! Love the blended colors and those great silhouettes, they look like reeds growing out of the water! Nice job, Roxie!

This is so striking, Roxi. I am always drawn to colorful skies and silhouettes so this really called out to me. No wonder you landed in this week's favorites. Always good to see your work in the gallery.
