I pinned this map from an Inspiration site a few weeks ago, and really wanted to recreate it somehow... it's perfect for this week's Mix-Ability challenge, except for the fact that it's still a work in progress... now that I have it this far, I don't want to cut it down, so I have to wait until we go to town, and see if I can find a box or journal to attach it to, and then see where it evolves from there.
I used a background stamp from Impression Obsession, and watercolored the land parts letting the colors run a little, then splattered some watered-down watercolors into the ocean areas. When that was dry, I used acrylic paint to add more opaque layers to the splatters.

Oh, this is a work of art! I agree with Ann - I like your version better. I would hate to cut it down as well, but if you do decide to, please share with all so we can admire!
