A quick card from me for this week's Teapot Tuesday. I thought I had tomorrow off work but two people are sick so I don't ;-(, and I have some thank-you cards to make for birthday gifts.
A special thanks to all the gals here who sent cards, messages and other warm fuzzies .
5 3/42 square card. Black card, white card, Basic Grey Basics.
I stamped the apple with Versafine Black and the HA script with Smokey Grey after cutting and while it was still in the die. I sponged on some Old Paper and Pumice Stone. Apple coloured with pencils, layered on black and popped up on foam.
I added MFT chevrons cut from green card and embossed for extra interest, and punched down the edge with SU's spiral punch.
Sentiment from Lots of Thoughts, word window and oval punches. Since I don't have time to make anything fancier, it has a loop of ribbon from the box of scraps on my desk for yesterday's TLC!
IRL the ribbon is not quite so bright :-0.

This does NOT look like a quick card - it looks like lots of thought went into the preparations, and time for the creation. The apple looks great - and the notebook style is perfect for the students! Thanks for helping to honor a special group of students - and their teacher.

What a fabulous idea to use notebook paper. I love that shade of green with the apple it really contrasts beautifully. Great minds think alike, I chose the same shade of green to compliment my apple.

Wow, so many things going on and you still got your card made, which is so cute, love the apple with words on it and that you did it on notebook paper!

I love how you worked all of the school themed elements into this card...I admire how your cards always look like a completed thought, everything working together. Thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful apple image and I love the spiral cut edge. I have the same punch and don't think I've ever used it, what a perfect touch on this card! Love the ribbon award too!
