Hi Friends,
It's Free for All Friday and another challenge. Jeanne asked us to glitter it up today. I'm happy to oblige (she smiles).
First I created a hinged filigree card base using the new Nestabilities card creator "Detailed Scallops," and the Happy Birthday greeting using Nestablilites Labels Eight.
When I'm feeling especially mischievous I like to cut up my designer paper and create my own embellishments. It's no secret to my stamping friends back in Phoenix about how much I love Graphic 45 paper collections. They're perfect for fussy cutting, and that's just what I did. The blossom branch is cut from "Once Upon a Springtime," and laid over a panel from "Secret Garden" (I cut two of those panels/mats) and trimmed out one of the little birds. Both branch and bird are popped up for dimension, with the branch hanging over the right side of the card.
Next came the glitter and some bling on the Happy Birthday sentiment (can a girl have to much bling on her birthday?) I think I met the requirements for this glittery Friday's challenge, and learned something too - how to created those tricky hinged filigree card bases.
Thanks Jeanne for a fun challenge today.
Blessings to all,
Susie ~

Oh, Susie, I found this linked to a card made in your honor as Featured Stamper by Pam (pam123). What a stunning card, and I love your beautiful fussy cutting with this exquisite paper (do we know LOVE Graphic 45?). And this beautiful die finishes is perfectly. Stunning card, sweet friend! Hugs!
