This is for two challenges. It started out being for the MIX4 challenge - to use water to make colour move. The technique is quite unorthodox and was taught to me by a 9 year old! She is a friend's daughter who loves to come over and use my stamps (and especially my glitter!). And the other day she came over and said she wanted to teach me something. We took a wide shallow bowl, put in a couple of squirts of dish detergent, added water to make soap bubbles, and then randomly added drops of food colouring to the top and swirled gently. Then we carefully laid pieces of watercolour paper on top, gave it a second to absorb some water and colour, and then set it aside to dry. I ended up with several lovely sheets for backgrounds.
Then when I was looking through the gallery of Featured Stamper "suen", I saw this card:
and thought how perfectly poppies would go on top of one of the background papers I'd made. My end result is very close to suen's card but hopefully my radically different background, a white cardbase, slightly different colours, no butterflies, and a different sentiment is enough change for a CASE.

I love, love, love this card and can't wait to try the technique. Need to get food coloring... why do these things always happen to me AFTER the stores are closed? Oh well, tommorow's another day!
