Yikes - I didn't manage to get a very good photo of the teapot and I haven't been able to get one that shows the card off very well either! It is prettier IRL, I promise .
5 3/4" square base, blue Bazill doodled with a Krylon leafing pen. The main layer is a bamboo template;after sponging some white card with green I laid the template over it and sponged through it with Versamark and then dusted with Perfect Pearls, added stitching.
Asian Artistry flower coloured with distress inks, layered on blue Bazzill.
Lydia's sweet Paper Doll tutorial is so much fun. I added a swallow from Carte Postale embossed with gold EP.
I'm a leaf-tea gal, just as I grew up with the sound of the coffee-grinder as the first sound in the morning. My DH, being a good Irish lad, grew up totally on tea-bags and instant coffee if coffee at all. When we started dating, I just automatically made him Lapsang Souchong, since it was what I drank in the evenings. He occasionally drinks it for a trip down memory lane, but he finds it so smoky and can't believe that he drank it without murmur all those times. Ah, what love will do!!

Your teapot is a wonderful treasure. So glad you shared it with us. Your card is beautiful - I knew you would get a bird in there! The doll is a perfect accent for this card.

Beautiful! I loved hearing about your antique teapot... if only it could tell us the stories of its travels with the sea-captain! Love your card with that sweet paper doll!

Sabrina, I love what you have done here with your card - your own bamboo designer paper is just fabulous & I just love your Japanese paper doll!! It looks like a beautiful teapot in the bg - my DH & I are definitely leaf tea drinkers & only ground coffee (I LOVE coffee but limit myself to 1 cup a day).
