This card is for today's Featured Stamper - Ally (aka thecircleguru). Her gallery is filled with so many beautiful and artful creations - but my heart skipped a beat when I saw this one: { AllyÂ’s Beautiful Cardinal Peace & Joy Card }
I just kept coming back to that card - soooo, I CASED it!! I kept Ally's basic Cardinal theme but used only two layers with a different Cardinal and similar sentiment.
The SU! Bird image was stamped in a light color (Daffodil Delight) so all areas could be colored OVER (no black outlines, no black shadows from the stamp, etc.) The bird, leaves and berries were colored using Copics, then the image was fussy-cut, and mounted/popped over the die-cut pine leaves. The Sentiment was stamped on the oval die-cut, then everything was mounted over the base panel.

Audzi, another BEAUTY! I SO LOVE the pop of the cardinal off the white and mounted on the embossed framing with those awesome leaves and your baker's twine. This is really AMAZING twinzi!!!!!! P.S. Your coloring came out fine and I'm glad you listed the colors. Great color technique on the cardinal. Hugs!

Stunning card, Audrey! Interesting way you stamped the cardinal. I have wondered how people color images without any dark lines- And what a fabulous use of the embossing folder. Love all of your details-I would call this a "glorious" card!

Love the contrast of the white with the red of the cardinal. This is such a beautiful card. Fabulously done.

This is simply stunning, Audrey...the way that brilliant red color sits against the white background is such a striking color contrast...it works beautifully! Love the embossing underneath the Floral Ovals die...everything on this card is...perfect!
