Congrats to Patty, the Featured Stamper this week! I spent a long time in her wonderful gallery and finally chose her Christmas Cardinal to case. I kept the Christmas theme w/ cardinals and the red and white colors but I left off the chocolate color, used different images and used different dies and embossing folder.
The cardinal ornament was stamped once with the red chalk ink and again with the black ink. The red version was die cut w/ a circle die and after coloring the other cardinals I cut them out and attached them on top of the red version. I die cut a another piece of white w/ the splendid circle die for the backing layer and dotted it w/ a white Pearl pen. An embossing folder was used on the final layer, a wide red grosgrain ribbon added then everything attached to my 4.25 x 5.50 card.
Congrats again, Patty! Thanks so much for looking! The details are all on my blog: The Write Stuff

LOVE LOVE LOVE this card... and to think I sent the circles back when the company I ordered the new squares from sent me these by mistake! How gorgeous they are as a frame for your beautiful birds. This card is just AMAZING!!!

You've used one of my all-time favorite EF's, and with some of the new nesties I'm dying to buy--and combined with some stunning coloring (and great taste ), you've created one winning card, absolutely LOVELY!!!
