I wanted to try another card for today's CAS challenge (wanted to go much simpler this time!) and needed a sympathy card for a church family who just lost a 26yo niece the day after she gave birth to her second child) I started with a leftover piece of faux wood that I distressed and sponged on the edges. I took a piece of natural white cs and embossed it then distressed the edges and sponged the whole thing in Sahara Sand. My leaves were also a leftover from a challenge to use stamp kissing. The solid leaf image was inked in Peach Parfait then kissed with a smaller leaf image in Riding Hood Red before cutting out; the edges were sponged in Cajun Craze. Stamped the sentiment in Indigo on Sahara Sand. The inside also has a piece of Sahara with a leafy vine stamped in Cajun Craze.

What a heartache for such a young family, Gail. It is such a trial of faith for many. My prayers are with them. You have taken the colors of the challenge and worked them into a peaceful beauty for such a time as this.
