This is for HYCCT1231, our last challenge! Lydia has asked us to make a card using any outdoorsy inspiration.
I used a combination of techniques on the tree image - thumping, rock-n-roll, heat embossing. Unfortunately I tried to correct some missing spots that didn't pick up any of the brown - so let's just call that remnants of a light snowfall, okay? I watercolored the ground and sky and added some birds. I stamped a small grass stamp on the ground areaand horizon for added interest. I originally cut the image with a scalloped die and decided it didn't look right, so I trimmed the scallops off and layered it onto brown cardstock.
The burnt oange piece was stamped with VersMark and perfect Pearls applied.
I embossed the right half of the card base and about 3/4 of the brown layer with different folder and scalloped the left edge of the brown. Added a ribbon and the card layers. The tree panel is mounted with foam tape.
It's been a great month of challenges! What do I do now?
Oh, yeah- clean up my craft room!
Thanks to Lydia and all the wonderful stampers who hosted challenges!
