This is for Monday's TLC (woven background) technique, and today's SC405.
I have been tossing around my idea for the weave since I saw the challenge, and when I saw today's sketch - it hit me I can combine these two.
I did not have any adhesive paper so I created my own by using double side scotch tape. I then carefully wove my papers. I then used a triangle die to cut a tree shape out of the green paper. I then played around with computer generated sentiment, and finally got it to work out around the cut out. Glued it on top of the weave, cut out a tree stand on bottom portion to show more weaving, added ribbon, and voila - finished.
I really am quite pleased with how it turned out - what do you think?

What a unique and so original take on this challenge!! To put the woven piece behind a window is terrific, especially since you did it on the diagonal. Makes for an exciting card! Also love how you "wrapped" the greeting around the tree and added the embossed background. Fabulous card!

What a fun and very pretty woven tree and I like the computer generated sentiment placement on your card. Good job!

Oh my Barbie, what patience you must have! I didn't do that challenge because I did not have sticky sheets either and I couldn't think of way to make that tech work. But you sure mastered that little problem. This card is just the most. Faving it.
