It's already the last Thursday in September (where does time go), so it's the last of my challenges for the CCEE Stampers. My challenge this week was for the team to create their own designer paper using any techniques. I love using background stamps for creating my own paper, but for this card I re-visited a card I made for a colour challenge during the HYCCT challenges last year. (The fun starts again for HYCCT 2012 next Monday 1st October)
I stamped various stamps from Playful Petals on an A2 piece of watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured it with distress reinkers: spun sugar, worn lipstick victorian velvet, tattered rose, old paper, antique linen, broken china, bundled sage. Long phone-calls to my dad are a great opportunity for colouring in detailed images ;-) Then I over-stamped the whole panel with Linen in Tea Dye.The extra flower and leaves are the same, but I didn't stamp them with Linen. I added a verse from ODBD on more watercolour paper sponged with Old Paper and stamped with Linen in Tattered Rose. I cut it out with Lacy Circles and layered it up on a circle sponged with Bundled Sage, with Bisque Liquid Pearls. I trimmed a little off the main panel, distressed the edges and put it on a base sponged with Bundled Sage. Flowers and sentiment panel popped up on foam.
This has gone to an SCS friend who has terminal cancer and an amazing faith in God.
