I don't rightly know just where to begin with this QFTD. Joanne has encouraged me from day one on SCS, and has become dear to my heart. And this girl is funny too! We kin writ up all sorts of crazy made-up country wirds...til we is both laughin' our fool heads off! And, she can warm my heart as well as well as tickle my funny bone. (I do know if evah my computer crashes, I will be writing something crazy to Joanne!) I looked at every gawgus page of her gallery, and chose this card for starters. (Oh yes Joanne, I am comin' back this day!) I was inspired by Joanne's layout, and the fact that she used my favorite color- black! Lol, yes, it's makes color pop, and I love it! This raggety bloom is from Tosh, and had been hoarded til now, cuz this Country Girl was screamin' for it!
The main image is from Rubber Romance, and I chose it because my sweet lil 'ol DIL, JamiePTS challenged me to use a RR image. (You sooo have to check out her QFTD!) I paper pieced the clothing and boots, and popped her up on a “quilted” background of Tim Coffey Designer Papers by K&Company. I used the front cover that shows samples, and then cuttlebugged over the entire piece, adding stitching to frame it up. I was out of black brads, so I applied knowledge from Brat Cards (and smiled) to use "Redneck Copics" (Sharpies) to git my color right!
Miss Joanne, y'all en-joy youn's day as Queen, and know you is loved powerfully in this here place! Hugs...
Thanks fer lookin'!
Edit: Here's a really fun link to a thread on SCS for Cuttlebug Quilting.

Super fun and totally cute. Yes Joanne is a fabulous girl and I love this country card of her. Ofcourse she would disagree and say she wasn't that country like this gal, but she is a sweetie either way.

Dag nabit purty, Pat! No way I'm gittin' into this country talk 'cept to say that burlap bow done took over this card and made it look finger lickin' good! Does that be Joanne the cowgirl? Ain't she lookin' downright bodacious? Well, that's a horse of a different color...looks like she's going out the door for some boot scootin'.
Let me just say, you did Joanne proud. Although, I didn't know she was such a country girl. LOL I tried to read her comment to your card...impossible...she's got to have some 'country talk' lessons.

First of all, I am loving her boots! The quilted BG is really gorgeous, Ms. Pat, and the cute image popped up looks so perfect - just as if she is sitting in front of a beautiful quilt on display! The pretty little flower is a wonderful and perfect addition as well! Beautiful - did I say that yet?!!!
