I'm not sure if I'm right on with the colours, but it's what I came up!
I put 2 nestie dies together and cut out the striped dp, which left a hole and also a piece smaller than the main opening. I printed the ship on a transparency and attached it to the striped piece. I cut another piece of dp, placed the oval in position and lined up the larger striped piece over top of the oval. Marked it and attached it in place. Attached the larger striped dp to the plain dp with the oval and voila!
Attached golder border stickers around the edge and then attached the sentiment. As I'm writing this, I remembered that I had wanted to put some distress inks on the beige dp (forgot!) and I also forgot to erase the pencil marker lines! Nothing to be done now as I have so much adhesive on this, it will never come apart!!! tfl and huge thanks to all the Teapotters who make a card for Sol! Will eventually get by to comment!

Ah - I'm glad you explained!! I was thinking that it must be some incredibly detailed Silhouette cut with fine black thread for the rigging. And yet, in the dim and distant past, I've printed on transparencies and laid it over DP to get a similar effect.
What a brilliant card, Charlene.

What a cool idea to print your wonderful image on a transparency! That is having your cake and eating it too...your patterned BG shows through beautifully. Your frame looks perfect, and the borders are beautiful. Sol will love this!!

what a neat job you did with all the ovals, looks so neat that way and really brings out our lovely ship ( which I think would be awesome to get a ride on..)...:0)...TFS
