This is for Color Challenge CC384, and for the Tea Party Challenge MMTPT207, to bring giraffes! I am also claiming credit for the Christmas Card Challenge for 2012.
I committed to 12 holiday cards a month and, umm, this is my second one this month and this year
I have been wanting to make a card using this giraffe, for oh, say 15 years probably!! I love this giraffe from Magenta, and I've always been freaked out about actually doing something with him.
Thanks to two of the challenges about using holiday colors, and bringing giraffes -- it all came together.
This is a prototype -- I want to do a little bit different coloring but I think I will keep the rest as it is.
I think this deserves one extra cookie because the way the garland wraps around the giraffe reminds me of the silly leaves on the spout of the teapot.
I want to send a card to Alex but is this too weird to send her a Christmas card now? Maybe I can send it attention of sumtoy and she can save it for a few months?
I think that I will repeat this card a few times for sending to my family and friends as one of my holiday cards. I need to find a different phrase.
Stamp: Magenta giraffe
Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla, and Old Olive (substitute for Gumball Green), More Mustard, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Baja Blue, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie
DSP: new holiday dsp pack, also new Cooredinations cardstock
Embellies: retired SU! ribbon, blender pen, dazzling details (cherry), soft suede craft ink and clear embossing powder, watercolor paper

GREAT card! The giraffe image is terrific and your coloring is nice. To me, it doesn't necessarily have to be a holiday card. I would just think of something clever like 'This giraffe is wrapped (all decked out?) with good wishes for a speedy and full recovery.' Something like that.

Oh yah, you can send this to Alex.....What i would do is send it in an envelope that says.......do not open until Christmas...and then in parenthesis.....write...
(unless you are really anxious, can't wait and wanna open it now!) Snort!
Then she will open it now but realize it was meant for Christmas! Giggle! So glad you were able to make this card.....and have a plan for more for Christmas...its a very special and fun little card, Lela...Glad you are back this week....lets' go get you that ONE extra cookie! Snort!

Oh my, never would have thought to string lights on his long neck! They sure look fancy. How cool that you finally got to use this stamp, and you used it so very well. Fabulous card. TFS :0)
