Emily, sorry to be so late honoring you as FS, but vacation and computer crash, not to mention my lack of mojo are my excuses. Your are a precious punchie and your smile could light the world.
I was going to use an eiffel tower, but then saw Smoatsmom cased this same card and used an eiffel tower, so I kept the same card, but turned it into a flowery orchid card.
I tried to stay as close to the inspiration as possible less the stitching, of course, and I used a nestie rather than a doiley for the image.
This is for a dear friend of mine who had a b/day on 7-11, so it's never hard to forget that day! Free Slurpee Day! She loves orchids and I didn't have an orchid stamp, so I downloaded a digi from Floppy Latte Designs.
Not sure I did it true justice, but after coloring it about 10 times, it is what it is. I angled the sentiment in the middle of the image with ribbon and attached 2 cute little dragonflies from K&C. For some reason I keep using Orchid Opppulence lately and have no idea why.
I used 2 layers of the same dsp rather than 2 different dp's like Emily did and instead of stitching, I paper pierced around the top panel. Added pearls, primas, rhinestones, dazzling diamonds and sponged the diecut panel.
Thanks so much for taking a look. I'm on a new laptop now and haven't grasped the ropes on using it and the new Windows program, so hope the photo turns out okay and no typos!
Hugs Emzi!

My dearest Pamzi, I am sooooooooooooooooooooo sorry it took me so long to see this fabulous FS creation you made in my honor!! I have been away from Splitcoast for so very, very long (excuses abound, but being away on vacation the entire month of August really disrupted "regular" life), but I've finally found my way back and saw your PM waiting for me. I just had to hurry over to see--and goodness, I certainly was NOT disappointed!!! This card is so beautiful in shades of orchid and yellow. It hard to believe that my humble Eiffel Tower creation inspired this thing of beauty!!
Please accept my deepest apologies for the delay in viewing your lovely FS creation--I am so honored!! You are the bestest. Sending big hugs your way!!
