Lois's challenge for the CCEE Stampers this week is a technique challenge ~ reverse masking.
I using masking a lot, reverse masking less so, but I just got this new PB stamp and it worked well to reverse-mask off the brick and sponge and stamp the little scene inside. It reminded me of a trip down to the southwest to a funeral last year, when we arrived too early and went for a walk in a nearby National Park and watched the swallows swooping over the long grass.
I stamped PB Floral Frame onto Bristol Board with Versafine Black and masked it. Sponged in the grass and sky, then stamped the tree, bird and wildflowers. After removing the mask I used the inside part which I had kept to mask the inside, I coloured in the surrounding frame - sponging it all first and then colouring in the flowers.
I used a discarded scrap of experimental card to emboss with Brick Wall and cut a hole in it just larger than the image, and popped it up on foam, then layered it all on green Bazzill.
A2 card base.
