Steph asked us to make a manly card for today's challenge. I made a birthday card for an elderly uncle. I started with the image from my mds. I chalked it, and then added versa mark over the entire image. I added clear and white embossing powder together to give it a muted look. Then I computered generated sentiment. I added the brown and blue panels. I finished it off with a braid. tfl

Love the mighty ship and the billowing clouds!!! Those embossed waves are PERFECT!!! At least that is how I am seeing the embossing by the sentiment. I really like the way the heat embossing mutted the colors too. That reminds me of the sea spray. Uncle Don will treasure this masculine card, for sure!!! Awesome card!!!

I love the technique you used on your main image and the coloring and sponging of it rocks! You certainly achieved the making of a masculine card with inspiration for us all!
