Steph gave us a challenge to bring on the buttons. I started by playing with some new toys I've been avoiding buying the hello doily stamp. Broke down because of all the beautiful cards I've seen on this site. I'm glad I did. It embosses so beautifully. I had an entire different idea for this card, but it changed. I didn't want to cover up the embossed doily. It totally reminds me of my Grandmother. She made many that look exactly like this. So now I remembering all the things she taught me and how much fun I had with her, I had to get her button tin out. I found some pearlized buttons. This card is for a cousin of mine, and I will tell her the buttons are from her Grandmother. tfl

Wow - thanks for sharing your story about your grandmother along with this gorgeous card. This doily stamp makes such a statement doesn't it? I don't blame you for not wanting to cover it up. I love the ribbon corners - so elegant.
