So many options with this sketch, but in the end I went with a quick and simple one.....details....
Was intriqued by the Wednesday tutorial, "pastels on black". Gave it a try with a slight tweak. I used kraft cs instead of black, black ep instead of white and chalk pastels instead of pastel pencils since I didn't have any. BUT they are on order! hehe
On my kraft I stamped a Hero Arts flower, black eb it the colored the middles with the chalk pastels blending with a Q-tip. For the petals I colored them with bleach.
Did some faux stitching on the edges to make this look like a shade on a window. For the top panel of my now window, I krimped some kraft cs and double popped it up on top.
For the circle, I cut one out and sponged it with sunshine yellow and sunset orange making it a sun.
Took red embrodery floss, knotted it and added a heart button for the faux pull on my shade.
Scored a white AC card, sponged the edges with tea dye, put on the sun, shade pull, popped up the shade and double popped up the valance.
What a fun sketch Taylor. Hope everyone had a great day. Mine was a tad cold with the wind blowing. Oh well!......TFL :0)

Adorable and creative, Cathy...but I would expect no less from you! The "sunny" window shade is so fun....and worked so well with Beate's technique on the Kraft. You've inspired me to try this.

'morning sunshine!! This is too clever by half! Great idea to use the kraft instead of black and I love the little heart blind pull. Everytime I look I see something else...faux stitching, scoring, sponging..the mind boggles! Absolutely love it!!!
